"Your body's ability to heal is greater than anyone has permitted you to believe."

Stress arises from a variety of factors such as major life changes, job-related issues, pollution, poor quality food/drink choices, genetically engineered food (GMO's), pharmaceutical drugs and negative self talk, just to name a few. We do require a certain amount of stress to stay healthy, just as a muscle needs resistance exercise to stay strong.
However, stress can add up in the body to such a degree that we are unable to meet the metabolic demands placed on us by our environment. In other words, stress accumulates and moves us away from a state of dynamic balance known as homeostasis, which is the body's optimal state of being.
As we move further away from a state of balance we start to experience an increase in the number of signs and symptoms of metabolic distress. If ignored and left to progress, these imbalances eventually lead to many of the chronic dysfunctions we see people suffering from today.
Our current state of health is determined by our ability to observe and identify the internal and external stressors in our lives and how well we manage those stressors. For some of us, managing stress means relying on external sources like television or the latest fad diet- "quick fixes" that don't encourage a state of positive, permanent stress relief and optimal health.
At Holistic Health and Performance, we help you identify the environmental stressors influencing your health through a comprehensive assessment of your metabolism. We use proven principles to design a step-by-step, individualized program that meets your specific needs and builds a strong foundation to create optimal health and wellness in your life.
